Hampers of Hope

As you know, KMC supports Hampers of Hope and food is collected week by week from donations placed in the red bins at the front and back entrances. Recently, due to lots of referrals, the cupboard was becoming quite bare.

He told the story of British athlete Derek Redmond running in the Olympics in 1992 .

Here is a YouTube clip showing this incident >  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2G8KVzTwfw

Imagine a small Bavarian village nestling in the shadows of the Alps in 1633. The great plague descended and many lives were lost to this mysterious illness. The villagers made a solemn vow that, if the lives of the villagers were spared, the whole village would perform a play every ten years, depicting the story of Christ’s suffering, dying and resurrection. Miraculously the plague did not claim any more lives and so, true to their vows, the villagers of Oberammergau enacted their first play in 1634.

Please remember to book in for our next Safeguarding Training session ; but only if you haven't managed to attend one of our courses in the last 6 months.

Everyone is welcome to attend Safeguarding training. However, those who volunteer in particular roles in Church must attend one of the updated training sessions.
