Rev Dr Calvin Samuel
Born in Barbados and raised in Antigua before coming to Britain to study for a BA in Theology and Pastoral Studies at Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, Rev Dr Samuel went on to complete an MBA at Manchester Business School before pursuing PhD research at King’s College London. He became Director of the Wesley Study Centre, based at St John's College, Durham and was appointed Academic Dean of Cranmer Hall, the theological training college within St John's. He is currently the Principal of London School of Theology.
Calvin is a Methodist minister and is married to Ramona who is also an ordained Methodist. His interests outside of work include blogging and Formula 1 (watching not driving). He has research interests in holiness in Scripture and in Wesleyan tradition.
Rev Dr Caroline Wickens
Caroline has been a Methodist minister since 1992. Alongside work in various circuits, she has been a mission partner in Zambia and Kenya, where she taught Biblical studies and languages.
As well as being superintendent in the Dudley & Netherton circuit Caroline had the role as a ministry development officer for the DMLN, where she was involved in the preparation and roll-out of Worship: Leading & Preaching. She currently works as superintendent of the Manchester circuit, and writes for Roots and various on-line resources.
Rev Dr Michael E.W. Thompson
Michael is a Methodist Minister (Supernumerary) who has served most of his ministry in Circuit work. He has an interest in Old Testament studies, and has published some works on this subject.
He served one appointment teaching Old Testament in a Theological college in West Africa, and in retirement taught Old Testament on the ‘East Midland Ministry Training Course’, an ecumenical course for the training of ministers and priests part time.
